More of the same. I'm starting to think weather forecasts are over-rated. Although I did have my first accidental forecast view. There was a email I got about an event this weekend for one of my kids and they put the high temp in the email DOH!

Jeez, more of the same. I know I should probably not wish for "interesting" weather, but this experiment is getting boring quickly.

This is going to be a pretty boring month if the weather continues like it has. A cold front came through Sunday night with strong north winds and cooler temps and no precip. My routine of dressing like I always do has yet to come back and bite me: Long pants, dress shirt and jacket works just fine.

The last 3 days involved travel to and from Denver. I used my innate knowledge of climatology (a simple Meteorologist super-power) for early March and came up with 2 basic scenarios for what to expect in Colorado. I figured it would be either cold and more winter like (think highs in the 40s), or pleasant and early-spring like (this is how OK had been the previous days). For either scenario, I would likely need my jacket (it would probably still be cold in the evenings) and long pants would be fine. It turns out I was correct. The weather was great  with sunny days in the upper 60s. Avoiding weather information is a bit more difficult when traveling. Both national and local weather forecasts are plastered all over the airport and in the hotel where I stayed. I had to remind myself not to casually look at any TV screens, lest I inadvertently see a forecast. Somewhat comically, the Weather Channel was the default channel that came up every time I turned on my hotel room TV. There w...

I imagine many of my weather info. free days are going to be like today. I wake up, pay particular attention to the weather when I first let the dog out; cool with a light north winds which means we likely had a cold front passage overnight;  and plan accordingly. In today's case, taking my jacket with me this morning with the thought that I probably wouldn't need it by afternoon. One interesting observation: I paid more attention to what I saw people wearing outside during the day. Before I left to go home for lunch, I looked outside to decide whether I should bring my jacket or not (I did indeed bring it, but didn't need it). Well, Day 1 is in the bank, so far, so good!
